Achievements
The Urban Partnership Group offer real opportunities and choices for all sections of the community. The holistic programme of children and young people services, adult learning and skills, regeneration, arts and sports facilities, health and well being, volunteering and support for parents, carers and older people from our three centres - Masbro, Opportunities, First Base - in Hammersmith and Fulham provides services of the highest quality.
Achievements in the financial year April 2008 to March 2009 include:
- Summer playscheme for 123 five to twelve year olds.
- Helped 86 adult learners achieve basic skills qualifications and 66 adult learners achieve Childcare NVQ 2 +3 + 4 qualifications.
- Provided 92 volunteer opportunities and helped 64 people into jobs.
- Established a Children Centre and Parenting Support services.
- Helped over 25 vulnerable older people with a good neighbour service on a weekly basis.
- Provided career advice to 531 people and Criminal Record Bureau checks for 471 people.
- Provide office and training space to over 35 local organisations.
- Supported 192 young people through a social education programme of sports, arts, multi media, health, employment support and volunteering.
- Sustained a footfall of over 1000 visits to the Masbro Centre each week.
