Mission
Our mission is to build community involvement in economic, social and environmental regeneration in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and surrounding areas.
We aim to:
- Enhance and promote the health, leisure, social welfare and community environment of people in Hammersmith and Fulham and surrounding areas
- Reduce inequalities and remove discrimination and other causes of social exclusion in disadvantaged groups and communities to ensure that Hammersmith and Fulham is a place where everyone has the opportunity to live healthy and prosperous lives in tolerant, caring communities
- Rebuild communities and improve opportunities for disadvantaged people to participate in work and other aspects of community life
- Continually improve service delivery and implement innovative solutions to meet changing local needs and community aspirations
We shall achieve our aims by:
- Promoting and delivering capacity-building programmes to enable local people to develop skills and knowledge fully to participate in the community and the world of work
- Advancing education and providing facilities in the interests of social welfare, health, housing and recreation and by fostering community spirit
- Developing innovative and practical solutions to socially and economically disadvantaged members of the community
- Influencing local strategy and policy by building effective partnerships with public and private agencies for the benefit of the community.
