Masbro Good Neighbours project is a free local service for vulnerable, housebound and isolated older people in Hammersmith, providing volunteer help, events and outings from the Masbro Centre.

  • Befrienders - visit people in their homes or provide help for local outings
  • Wheelchair pushers - for outings, shopping etc
  • Walking escorts - for people who want to improve mobility confidence with or who are visually impaired
  • Readers - help with reading and writing for visually impaired people
  • Gardeners - get help tidying that unruly garden if you are disabled and feel your garden has turned into a jungle
  • Odd jobs - from changing light bulbs to small painting jobs
  • Intergenerational Arts Project - children and older people link together for drama and arts
  • Join an art or pottery class

Outings
The Masbro Centre organises a variety of low cost outings usually during the summer months under the Summerdaze banner.

  • Outings fortnightly between May and August
  • Visit London's beautiful open spaces e.g. Fulham Palace, Chiswick Park
  • £2 registration fee covers all outings
  • Outings begin and end at the Masbro Centre
  • Picnic lunch provided (contribution of £1.50 appreciated)
  • 12 seater Community Transport buses with wheelchair access (1 wheelchair per trip)
  • Volunteer helpers if you don't have your own

The Masbro Elders Forum
Masbro Elders Forum members meet to discuss issues of interest to older people and enjoy occasional afternoons of music, local history, or anything that takes their fancy
