During these difficult times the Masbro Elders Project has suspended normal services but we are still providing support for the over 50’s in the Borough and their carers.
Assistance with food parcels and shopping:
Since the government COVID-19 lockdown and advice to older people to remain self-isolating, we have been working hard to assist frail, older, isolated people in the borough by delivering food parcels and medication and providing shopping services to those in need.
Telephone Befriending Service
We also run a telephone befriending service for older, isolated people in the community where we arrange regular calls by our dedicated team of volunteers. In addition , we can also put people in touch with organisations who can help you with your tech questions – how to get the most out of your smart phone, ipad or laptop, and most importantly, how to stay in touch with friends and family.
HELPFUL INFORMATION AND LINKS TO LOCAL ORGANISATIONS
H&F Community Aid Network (CAN) Freephone: 0800 145 6095 (9am to 7pm)
H&F CAN is the volunteer community aid network launched by Hammersmith & Fulham Council to support vulnerable residents during the coronavirus pandemic.
Working with the voluntary and charity sector, and alongside the ward and street-level mutual aid groups, H&F CAN offers support to residents who don’t have friends or family close by to help them. Our taskforce of volunteers will help those most in need at the time of their greatest need.
Our Place, Our Time
Produced in partnership with the Masbro Elders Project
10 Months ago THE BUSH THEATRE set out with Masbro Elders and artist Will Hudson to make a piece of theatre about the meaning of Home. Sadly COVID19 meant the performance couldn't happen so we've created a short film to celebrate their work. This video is the amalgamation of film, original music and audio from the cast. See trailer
