We provide English classes from beginners to Level 2 Functional skills. Students have an opportunity to take an exam certified by Pearson/Edexcel. Classes consist of work relating to reading, writing, speaking and communication. The majority of our students are ESOL students, that is, English is there second language. We place great emphasis on encouraging students to speak in English and improve their confidence so that they can talk to teachers, doctors and other people in authority.

Reader Group
In conjunction with the Reader Organisation, a Reader group has been operated at Masbro centre for four years. It gives people opportunity to read prose and poetry and socialise with other like minded people.

The Maths class is a Level 2 functional skills class. It is important to obtain Maths and English at level 2 so that students may progress to higher qualifications or even undertake a degree.

IT class for people who want to improve their IT skills and are also looking for work. Lessons are orientated towards tasks that will help in obtaining a job, for example how to job search online, using e mail and drawing up a CV.
