Why not try your hand in at one of Masbro’s life drawing, sculpture and pottery classes? All classes are taught by experienced professionals.

Masbro offers a variety of courses including life drawing, sculpture and pottery classes (both hand built and thrown) that cater to a mixture of abilities. So, whatever your level of experience is, there is sure to be a class for you!

Your health and safety is of paramount importance, so class sizes are limited and organised to operate in a COVID secure way.

POTTERY SKILLS FOR STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES

Monday Mornings 10:00 – 12:00pm
A course specifically designed for students with a learning disability. This course will cover basic techniques and enable the student to make a variety of objects.

Masbro Sculpture Classes Hammersmith & Fulham

SCULPTURE – LIFE STUDY/OTHER SUBJECTS – ALL ABILITIES

With Jan Buckley
Monday afternoons, 1:30 – 4:30pm
Work with figure/portrait models or other subjects in clay for firing or casting, or wax and plaster usually on wire armatures. Perfect in conjunction with life drawing or just for those who want to explore sculpture.
10 week course costing £240 (includes model fees for 6 sessions)

HAND BUILT & THROWN POTTERY – BEGINNERS/INTERMEDIATE

With Jenefer Frydman or Penelope Poche
This course covers hand building techniques including coiling, press moulding and slabbing, various decorating techniques and glazing. Throwing may be taught later in the course. Those who wish to develop existing skills and work on individual projects are also welcome.

PORTRAIT SCULPTURE

With Katya Galitzine

Experience the joy of creating a portrait head in this 8-week course for adults, with a live model. This is a friendly, positive class open to anyone interested in developing their skills in portrait sculpture.

Katya, a sculptor trained under Michael Anikushin at the Repin Academy of Arts, St Petersburg, will guide you through:

Building an armatur
Sculpting the skull
Capturing a likeness in clay

At the end of the term, participants will have the option to fire their work.Dates and times:

OUR ART ROOMS

All classes are held in bespoke rooms, the Pottery Workshop is equipped with clay, pottery wheels and kilns. The newly refurbished Art Studio is naturally lit, airy and is fully equipped with easels and a life model podium. There is also a large exhibition space where your art can be displayed.
